People who answered 0 to 6.

How the calculation works

Net Promoter Score comes from one question: how likely are you to recommend us, from 0 to 10. Answers sort into three groups.

NPS is promoters minus detractors, divided by total responses, times 100. The total is promoters plus passives plus detractors. The result is a whole number from -100 to 100. A half rounds away from zero, so 12.5 becomes 13 and -12.5 becomes -13.

Worked example

130 promoters, 50 passives and 20 detractors make 200 responses. Promoters are 65.0% and detractors 10.0%. 130 minus 20 is 110; divided by 200 and times 100, the NPS is 55.

What it leaves out

This page does not compare your score with any benchmark. Compare it with your own earlier results, using the same question and timing. Results depend on how the survey is worded, when it is sent and how many people answered.
